Short title.
1.
This Ordinance may be cited as The Naturaliza-
-tion Amendment Ordinance 1911.
mends Ordi-
-nance No.44 lof 1902.

The Naturalization Ordinance 1902 is hereby amended.
(1). In section 5 thereof by the insertion therein after the words "previously to the
passing of this Ordinance" of the words "and any
child of any such alien", and after the words
"to such naturalized alien" of the words "or
child of such naturalized alien".
(2). In section 6 thereof by the insertion therein after the word "granted" of the words "and the children of any such alien, being a male, who during infancy have resided in Hong-
-kong.
(3). In section 7 thereof by the deletion of the
words "to any alien".
Objects and Reasons.
The Imperial Act 33 Vict. c. 14 s. 10 (5) gives the children of naturalized parents the status of British subjects. The amendment of the principal Ordinance is undertaken with a like object.
